The Scottish Ocean Climate Status Report 2016 described the status of the physical conditions in the seas around Scotland in 2016 and examined the variability and trends in the last decade, and further into the past. Figures showing time series of a number of variables were extracted from this report and added as tooltips to the the Scottish Marine Regions, the Charting Progress 2 Regional Seas, and four water masses (North Atlantic Water, NAW; Modified North Atlantic Water, MNAW; Fair Isle Current, FIC and Cooled Atlantic Waters, CAW)
