Broad Habitat

Broad habitat is a general term used here for categories of habitat found on Scotland’s coasts or the seabed e.g. intertidal rock or deep-sea habitats. They are usually sub-divided further into more detailed categories. Various initiatives have mapped these habitats including SNH’s Habitat Map of Scotland,  EMODnet Seabed Habitats and UK Sea Map 2010.  A variety of layers are provided in this section
