\u2018Lease/Lease Agreement\u2019 is a legal agreement from Crown Estate Scotland whereby an area of foreshore or seabed is occupied by a third party (a 'tenant') for an agreed purpose, such as fish farming, and which gives consent for the tenant to develop the fish farm on the lease site(s), if other required permissions are gained.

Scotland's Aquaculture Website has been developed in partnership by Marine Scotland, Crown Estate Scotland, Food Standards Scotland and SEPA to provide access to a range of information about aquaculture in Scotland.
